Symantec and Ernst & Young, LLP Offer Webcast on Policy Compliance

Toronto, ONT. - February 24, 2004 - Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC), the world leader in Internet security, and Ernst & Young, LLP, one of the world's largest professional services firms, today announced that they will co-host a Webcast on policy compliance. The Webcast, titled "The Case for Implementing Policy Compliance and The Value to Your Business," will be held on Thursday, February 26 at 9:00 a.m. PT. Mark Ungerman, a director of product management at Symantec who leads the development and delivery of Symantec Enterprise Security Manager (ESM), and Keith Mozena, senior manager at Ernst & Young, LLP, will explore the business value of policy compliance. They will also present the tools and strategies available to help organizations maintain compliance with established security policies, and examine the typical costs other organizations are incurring as a result of non-compliance.
