Intel Chooses Symantec as Internet Security Standard for the Pentium 4 Processor, the World's Fastest Processor for Personal Computers

CUPERTINO, Calif. - Jan. 24, 2001 - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC), a world leader in Internet security, and Intel Corp. (Nasdaq: INTC) today announced the inclusion of Norton Internet Security 2001 with the Intel Pentium 4 processor-based Intel Desktop Board D850GB. As part of the Intel Desktop Board D850GB package, Norton Internet Security 2001 will safeguard the Internet connections of app roximately four million Intel Pentium 4 users.
